Salsa and Tinapa

I cooked the last pack of tinapa (smoked fish) that we bought the last time we went to the Oriental store in Pittsburgh. We planned to get as many as we could but there were only two packs left in the store. The tinapa that were available were not the ones that hubby likes but we bought it anyway. He likes the galunggong (round scad) but tamban was the only available.

Anyhow, I made my own version of salsa. We have so many cherry tomatoes so that was the one I used before they get bad. I put some pickled hot pepper and scallions. added some black peppers and the soy sauce with calamansi (lemon).
I tell you salsa pa lang busog na ako hahaha.

Hubby and I ate it for breakfast. I felt bad because I did not make a new pot of rice and his first serving is a little short lol. Whenever we eat tinapa, we always need more rice, sarap kasi eh.

Just remember....

that a little bit of this
and a little dash of that
makes a sumptuous life..

Hi Rose,
You will always be a Pinay forever, never getting tired of eating Pinoy foods. Pati si John nahawa na sa iyo, lol. Mas masarap nga yung tinapang galunggong o bangus. Ang galing mo namang gumawa nang your own version nang salsa. Ang gandang tingnan. Sa susunod ay magsaing ka nang madami para hindi mabitin si John kapag nagalmusal kayo nang tinapa, lol. Thanks for the yummy post. God bless you all always.

Tinapa is one of the foods I had to give up when I decided to lose weight, because this food really makes one eat more rice - especially pag nagkamay na. :)

I'm not a Filipina but that sure looks good to me, especially your salsa. I actually live in Daly City, CA, an enclave of the Philippines and my neighborhood grocery is Manila Market, a wonderful source of all sorts of yummy things!!
