Jackfruit is commonly known as "langka" in the Filipino language. Both of my husband and daughter love this fruit. I always put this as filling in our toron - a Filipino snack made from banana and wrapped in lumpia wrapper. You can fry or bake it depending on your preference.

- Nothing was done today at our porch. We were hoping that they pour the concrete but they never did. Waiting is really a worst thing.
- Mr. Burrito did not feel good today so we did not do any lessons.

oh my goodness. ung last photo parang andito lang sa harap, ang sarap kainin.. katakam naman.. sarap nito sa turon, halu halo at bilo bilo haha.
Yummy .. gamit din namin sya sa turon =) Buti n lang meron kami mga neighbor dito nagshashare lagi kaya hindi na kami nabili =)

Its very common to my hometown, Kerala in India though I am not very particularly fond of it. We also get jams made out of Jackfruit..Now that I love !

In Malay, we call it nangka....I'm not really a big fan of it but do eat them ocassionally.

Wow, I love jackfruit or langka. I love the pungent smell of its fruit. I also love langka with turon and halo halo. Even the green langka, I love it as vegetable cooked in coconut milk. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
