Instead of chips, I like chopping some fresh veggies or fruits to bring on our roadtrips. Since we have a good amount of cucumber in our garden, I decided to chop some up and bring it to our mini road trip going to SandCastle in PA on July 26th. It was very hot that day so this cucumber was perfect to keep their bodies cool during the trip. What I love about it is that, ut keeps your tummy full so the kids were pretty much in business when we arrived at the park.
As I was packing this, the shadow it made was beautiful to pass up. So I grab my camera and took pictures of it.
This looks like a butterfly wing doesn't it?

Below is a stretched version of a wing.
And to my surprise, a diamond-shapped shadow was even a great treat for me.
I hit two birds with one stone with these cucumbers. We got nutritious snacks and I saw some pretty cool shadows including the diamonds. What a treat!

Cucumbers make for wonderful road food - indeed much better than chips as you have the satisfaction of eating without the calories and hydrating too. A perfect way to eat on the run...
Love the shadows and the perfect 'pun'!
I love it when I can get two birds with one stone! Congrats!
Very beautiful shadow! I agree with you that cukes make great road trip food.
That salad is delicious and the photos are nice too.
Who would have thought that a cucumber can be a model? :)
Have a Great Week!
Peace :)
Love cucumbers! But I honestly haven't tried them on road trips yet..
Not a big fan of cucumbers but I love having those veggies in my infused water along with lemon and fresh mint leaves. :) I usually have cucumbers as an enchilada entry with crushed pepper, a pinch of sugar and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Great for hypertension hehehe :) (and melting fats...)
really nice shadows.
it's a yes for the unexpected diamond shadow, and a no for cucumbers- they wreak havoc with my system.
Gotta love a surprise. Thanks for sharing.
Cool as a cucumber!
