I made these rice balls the other night for dessert. I mixed the glutinous flour with yam and jack fruit, and milk. Fried it in vegetable oil and rolled it into sugar confectionery. Every time I miss my mother, I tend to cook those foods/dessert that she always makes for us when we were growing up. Glad hubby and the kids loves it too.

I have never heard of anything like this before. I would love to taste one. Diane
We have something similar in Italy towards the start of spring, "Frittelle di San Giuseppe", they are yummy.
They really look good. I would love to try one. I know what you mean about crashing. lol
Those look delicious and I would love to try one. I've just become familiar with Jack Fruit in recent months. Cute little sword picks on them, too. :)
Fried rice balls are something new to me. But they look pretty delicious. You must be missing your mom every time you cook them for they remind you of her. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
Yum...they look really good. I am not familiar with Jack Fruit. I will have to check it out.
I too enjoy preparing things that my Mother made. Now that my kids are older, I also like passing these on to them.
Hope your migraine goes away real soon, I know they are rough.
Do not fret. I know where you are coming from. I retired back in ’97 and went back within two years and am gong strong at 73. The problem is it is really hard to work on my pictures, comment on blogs, and take care of the house, too. Up at 5 and home at 4. I really need to be to bed by 9 at the latest. Good luck to your husband, and we, too, are in the middle of state SOL’s So much stress. One of these days would you please share with us your recipe for fried rice balls. I love fried rice. genie
