Birthday Bundle of #KitchenTools and Special Treats from #Fambam

Growing up, I  don't remember having a cake  or  any birthday party  when we celebrate our birthdays.  I have 8 siblings and just providing for our basic needs is what my parents can afford and it was good enough for all of us.  We managed to have a enjoyable childhood with whatever we had.  We never had fancy toys and yet, we always have fun time everyday playing with each other around the neighborhood.  It was  safe back in the day that our  parents never had to worry about our safety, it's  way different these days.

 However, I am very lucky to enjoy all of the things that I never had  in my younger years now that I am older.  I have an awesome husband and wonderful children who showers me with  great companions and give me plenty  of  hugs and kisses everyday.  The gifts are just the icing on the cake.  What matters to me  is the love.  It's amazing  that when you grow older, your priorities and outlook in life changes.  You value  non-material things such as family and friends.    

 These bouquet of strawberry roses were waiting  in the breakfast table when I got up during my birthday.  My daughter made them and my husband cooked  breakfast for us.  I don't really care for cake on my birthday but they always get me one anyway.  I like this  cake though, I thought it's beautiful!

 Now that I am in the mid-40s, I am trying to embrace the things that I am not fond of like color purple.  The purple icing and candles  are perfect color combo with the pink.

 Aside from  gifts from family and friend, I also received a bundle  of  kitchen tools and gadgets for my kitchen from Ozeri.
