Your Ultimate Hangover Survival List

Hangovers are something that most people will experience during their adult life. Often, they bring splitting headaches and bouts of nausea, and they can take up precious time on your weekend that you could alternatively be spending with your family or enjoying some fun activities. Ideally, you should be taking it easy when you are suffering from a hangover, as this gives your body the valuable time it needs to recover properly. However, there are some handy tricks you can follow which can help you speed up this process. Not only will they have your body and mind back to their usual happy self, but they can prevent your hangover from turning into a dreaded two-day ordeal.
Hydrate yourself

When you drink lots of alcohol, your body becomes dehydrated. This dehydration makes your headaches worse and can also cause dizziness and sickness. Resolving this problem is easy when you commit to drinking more than your usual recommended daily intake of water when you are hungover. However, your body will also need to replace the vitamins and nutrients that were lost, which is why many people choose to visit www.resetiv.com to have a double dose of hydration and vitamins. In the space of a few hours, thankfully, the toxins can be removed from your body so that it can begin its proper recovery.
Take a shower

Waking up feeling groggy on a hangover is one of the worst feelings. Sometimes, drinking can cause you to sweat more, which can make you feel worse. The first thing you should do when you wake up after a night of drinking is to jump in the shower. Having one can help you feel revived, and can also bring you back to reality if you are still feeling wobbly. Having some refreshing citrus scents to wash with can be an extra help, and some people even choose to have a cold shower to wake them up more.

Have plenty of naps

Unfortunately, your body will have suffered from a bad night of sleep the night before, even if it feels like you slept heavily. This is because alcohol interrupts the sleep cycle that people usually experience each night. With this in mind, it’s truly no wonder people feel sleepy when they are hungover! After your shower, you should wrap yourself in cozy clothes and relax somewhere comfortable in your home. With a comforting show on television, you can indulge in short naps throughout the day.

Order a takeout

Sometimes, hangovers can bring with them an unhealthy amount ofanxiety alongside the usual hangover symptoms. This can mean you need your favorite comfort food to help you feel better. While cooking a wholesome meal is best for your body, it is likely that you might not feel up to preparing and cooking a meal when you are hungover. In any case, there are numerous healthy takeout places you can order from. However, there is also some evidence to suggest that your usual takeout will give your body the salts and carbohydrates it needs, which other foods might not have.

I haven't had a hangover in many years, but back in the day my cure was a greasy bacon, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich and that always did the trick.

I can't remember if I've ever had a hangover as I just don't drink. I've definitely never heard of the hangover soup before I'll have to share it with friends.

This is a funny post! I will have to keep this in mind for the times when my brothers and husband get a bit too busy drinking at night! They love really really good wine and sometimes drink too much

I fortunately have not had a hangover in years. It is such an awful feeling. Now that I'm getting older, I feel awful just eating junk food and not getting enough rest!

No joke, I could have used this list Saturday morning this weekend. Drinking in your 30's with kids is WAY different than drinking in your 20's! Sleeping all day sounds amazing, lol!
