2018 went very fast in my opinion. Aside from minor headaches and random cold, I am grateful that none in my family got sick last year. I think healthy eating helped us out of sickness and also regular exercise. Ninety five percent of the food that we eat is home cooked as we seldom dine out but it's the healthy way that works for my family. We try to grow vegetable in the warm weather and eat them fresh from our garden. We will continue our healthy ways this year to hopefully help us out of sickness.
Anyway, during Christmas eve, I did not really cook a lot. I only made a normal dinner, I made braised pork chops and we ate it with vegetable. Baking is not my forte and I always find myself getting burned when dealing with oven but having a reliable
cooking gloves helps me avoid that issue.

On Christmas Day, I made some fried chicken. We will be attending a Christmas party to a friend's house later that day so I only made what we can eat before heading out to the party.
There were so many food prepared by our friend during the party. I couldn't control my appetite since most of the food is Filipino food lol.

We had an enjoyable Christmas last year although I still wish I could spend it with my family back home in the Philippines but it's okay, as long as I am with my children and husband. No matter where we celebrate Christmas as long as we are together, I don't mind. The best way to deal with homesickness is through food. How about you, how did you celebrate Christmas?

That's a feast fit for a king. I am loving all the wonderful food your family shared over Christmas.
We cut back on all the sweet cookies and pies this year. Eating healthier and feeling better
That actually looks like a pretty good feast. We made a Thanksgiving dinner for Christmas and it was delicious but I think everything you have here sounds even better.
That really was a feast! We do a traditional turkey, ham, dressing, and all that stuff on Christmas, but I think this would be a great way to do it next year.
Everything looks amazing, I love that you have a huge variety of options, and it's not so traditional.
Look at all that food - it would be hard not to eat your way through the holidays! I was sick over the holidays, so didn't cook too much for my family.
Oh yum, this looks like a fabulous meal! I would love to try this. We had prime rib on Christmas.
That is quite the feast! My family makes about the same amount when we get together for holidays.
I feel you sis till now my tummy is bloated with lots of Filipino food that I ate from this past holidays. It is hard to resist and also it kinda give me a satisfaction just because I miss our celebration back home.
I am not familiar with all those dishes, but everything looked delicious! I like the mix of traditional plus Philippino foods. We had a low-key Christmas dinner since it was just the four of us celebrating, and then later we did some get togethers with guests.
That is such an awesome feast. Enjoying some delicious food with the family during Christmas is one of my fave parts of the season.
This looks like a delicious Christmas meal. When I can't be with relatives I enjoy cooking recipes that remind me of them.
Wow you really did have an amazing feast. We had leftovers LOL
That is one delicious looking feast! Next year don't forget to invite me, I'll bring dessert!!
The food looks amazing. I’m thinking I would love it all but that puto looks extra good to me!
And here I am thinking I had a feast on Christmas day! What you had was a brilliant feast, but I have not heard of half of these food names :) However, everything looks super delicious!
Everything looks so delicious. It's really a feast I wish we had last Christmas. ha! I think the sotanghon should be pancit bihon and the pancit should be pancit canton ;)
This is such a kind of feast I ever wanted. I guess it's a type of Filipino feast, these are all great choices of foods.
